Two slides will be auctioned May 19
The Jefferson Memorial Park Board will be having an auction May 19 in conjunction with Kids to Parks Day.
The group is auctioning two tall, metal slides at the park following a 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting event.
All proceeds will support the park. Buyers must pay to remove the slides.

Raffle to support Air Force Junior ROTC programA A raffle, which will benefit the Jefferson AFJROTC scholarship program, is being held through May 26. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25. Prizes include a one-week stay at a premium resort of your choice; 42-inch flat screen TV; or dinner for two.

Notice Jefferson County Commission Meeting Cancellation
The regular meeting scheduled on Thursday, May 24,2012, has been cancelled. The Commission will resume its regular session on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 9:30a.m.





Request for Proposal-Jefferson County, WV
The Jefferson County Commission, 124 East Washington Street, Charles Town, West Virginia 25414, is requesting proposals for an Actuarial Study to determine the Liability for Other Post Employed Benefits (OPEB) as of June 30, 2012 as required by Governmental Accounting Standards Board Pronouncement 45 (GASB-45).
Sealed proposals will be accepted until Friday, June 1st, 2012, at 5:00 p. m. in the Offices of the County Commission of Jefferson County, 124 E Washington Street, PO Box 250, Charles Town, West Virginia 25414. Please mark on the outside of the proposal packet “SEALED PROPOSALS – ACTUARIAL STUDY”.
Any interested respondent may contact the County Commission Office AT 304-728-3283 from 9AM until 5PM, Monday through Friday for detail information regarding a proposal.
The Commission reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in whole or in part.
